JWD-2007 EXODUS 2020 is a fictional story of an EXTRAORDINARY JOURNEY undertaken by several divergent families, aparently brought together randomly as a group by cataclysmic events which completely altered their world. It is set in the year 2020 because of a saying in the New Testament, attributed to Jesus Christ: "A thousand years on this earth is but a single day in Heaven." This same statement is found several times in the Bible and other Scripture. If this statement can be taken literally then we can very simply convert times attributed to celestial events to earth time. For instance In the Book of Revelation Chapter 8 Verse 1 it is stated that; "And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about the space of half an hour." Mathematically, if, as it is indicated, Heavens time is divided into "hours" as earth time is, then a day in Heaven may also be said to consist of 24 divisions or hours. Since a 24 hour period in Heaven is equivalent to 1000 years on this planet a heavenly half hour becomes 20.83 years on the earth. One man who is widely respected as a Prophet stated a couple of years ago that, "The Seventh Seal was opened in the Year 2000." Hence, if there is any validity to my calculations, the Exodus that will occur because of the end of the Half Hour of Silence in Heaven and the initiation of the Divine Judgments, spoken of in Revelation Chapter 8, frequently referred to as the "Tribulations" will begin to occur toward the latter end of the Year 2020. That would give us about eleven years, and counting, to get ready. Of course it, shouldn't and doesn't, really matter whether those calculations are right or not. The real story within the story is the manner in which people are able to combine their efforts to help each other and by so doing find the means to all survive together. It may be of interest that the Chief Character is a Lawyer, from Albany, New York, who has for twenty years spent Sukkot (the holiday of Booths, "Thanks for the fall harvest and the end of the 40 years wandering in the wilderness", after being liberated from Egypt by Moses) bow hunting with his friends in the Catskill Mountains. Other characters include a young girl from a family of low social and economic status with a baby, a fugitive wanted for kidnapping and extortion, a handyman, a real estate broker, an executive secretary, a truck driver and others. It is this authors contention that, "A work of Fiction is only as valuable as the Truth it brings to light." I don't intend to rhetorically argue this point, but rather to set down a few examples of what I see as important truths that are brought to Light in Exodus 2020, and allow you to read the book. Then You will be in a position to effectively discuss your own findings with regard to that theme. The real message of the story, that stares out from between the lines of Exodus 2020, is, both timely and extremely important. Those truths brought to light are potentially life saving. It is not a bed time story and so far no one who has read it has accused it of being either a religious treatise or boring. The message really is, "Don't just stand there trembling with fear. Get yourself and your family and your friends ready, NOW. Get prepared Physically, Mentally and Spiritually." The Message is right for every one of us in every one of our days. We can not know the date of our own great EXODUS, so to prepare is to be wise. The events that form the plot of the story consist of what I like to describe as three dimensional holograms combined from a synthesis of Biblical Prophecies and the most recent findings of Modern Scientific Research. The great cataclysmic events that form the underlying motivation for the Extraordinary Journey undertaken by the characters in Exodus 2020 are those set forth in scripture which are to be fulfilled just before the second coming of the Savior. Those events, described in the scriptures and prophesies of many Divinely authorized prophets, are fulfilled by natural events that are actually predicted, to shortly occur, by recent discoveries of modern science. Some of these events appear to have been set up like chess pieces in a titanic game thousands of years old and prepared for the final move to Checkmate in our day. The scriptures speak of the darkening of the sun and moon, stars falling from the sky, great stars striking the waters and the earth causing the water to become poisonous and the land to undergo terrible quakes. It speaks of the destruction of the crops of the world by Hail Mingled with Fire. There is a prophesy of a great earth quake in which Babylon the Great shall fall and be utterly destroyed. Another related prophetic statement sets out that a great mountain flaming with fire will be cast into the sea, turning the sea red and destroying both sea life and many many ships. This prophecy is included in the Book of Revelation of John the Apostle of Christ, chapter 8. Do you know already that New York City rests upon an unstable geological fault that could at any time undergo an earthquake just as dangerous as the one that is expected to some day launch San Francisco into the Pacific Ocean? Who among us is aware that there are geological hot spots under the Mississippi River right in front of Memphis, Tenn that volcanologists predict will erupt into volcanoes, if and when an earthquake occurs that even slightly shifts the tectonic plates where they meet in the Mississippi Valley? Did you know about the Super-Volcano that we call Yellowstone National Park? Did you know that it is building up pressure in its magma chamber that can cause a violent eruption that, is estimated, could be greater than 200 Hiroshima nuclear bombs at once? The column of smoke and ash is expected to approach 30 miles in diameter. Were you aware that such an explosion would have world wide effects? It is expected to result in the depression of world ambient temperatures so that the middle level states will see snow in June and possibly even July. Farmers will be unable to grow crops because the ground will be too cold to germinate the seeds and the sun will be too dim to support plant growth. Were you aware that that will result in world wide Famine? There is a 24-7 scientific watch team there in Yellowstone National Park right now. Who has heard about La Palma Island? It is a little island about fifty miles long and twenty or so miles wide. It consists of the stratified material from many years of volcanic eruptions that have built mountains over a mile above the Atlantic Ocean. The Island is located in the Canary Islands just off the northwest coast of Africa on almost the same latitude as Jacksonville, Florida. One scientific report given by a British team that conducted extensive and ongoing research on La Palma Island, stated that there was already a split right down the middle of the island right through the two volcanoes that comprise the island and that the next eruption of either one of the volcanoes would likely result in the massive failure of the west flank of the island. Or in other words the next time either of the volcanoes on La PALMA Island erupts it will be as though a great mile high mountain flaming with volcanic fire was cast into the sea. It was estimated that the wave that will result from that flank failure could reach a height of one mile, with a wave length of 50 miles. The wave which the scientists refer to as a Mega-Tsunami would travel at the speed of about 700 mph. Jet Airliners fly at about 300 mph. If La Palma were to fail the people of America would have about seven hours warning to get off the beach. Of course the British scientists also estimated that when that wave hit the east coast of the United States, it would leave nothing for the first twenty five miles from the shore. After that there would be miles and miles of destruction depending on the elevation of the area, so that the wake of destruction would, in all likelihood, cover the entire Florida peninsular from coast to coast. The reality for Floridians in the event of an eruption of La Palma is to get out of Florida to the North West as fast as possible. The Government has a 24-7 scientific watch team there right now. There are no less than three Super Volcanoes in the United States all of which are currently under 24-7 surveillance. There is one more source event that could initiate all the others. There has been some amazing finds in the field of astronomy lately. Among the most interesting subjects of late are Comets. It seems that the old theory of dirty ice has been completely disproved by recent data obtained by space probes. It now appears that far from being harmless ice in space, Comets could prove to be the most unpredictable and dangerous objects that enter our solar system. For instance with the new knowledge of comets scientists know that just passing through the hundred million mile long tail of a comet could initiate all the calamities spoken of by the Prophet John in the Book of Revelation, and more. It is useless to throw out a life ring to someone who refuses to reach out and take hold of it. Some of us may say in our hearts we would rather be dead than live in a world where all we know as modern life is destroyed, where we have to dig in the soil and plant and harvest out own food instead of simply driving down to the Supermarket for food whenever we want some. Many may think it too harsh that we must begin to weave cloth for our own clothing as our ancestors did rather than drive to the Mall for clothes whenever we feel like it. Some of us may believe that the coming cataclysms will mark the entire extinction of mortal man from this planet. But if we will read a little further in the scriptures we will discover that there will be a period of a thousand years, following the great upheavals, during which mortal man will still live on this planet. The world will be at peace and will have a milder climate and will be personally ruled by its own Creator. Those who live through the coming period of destruction and reconstruction, and who then enter into the period of Divine Reign, the Scriptures say, will never taste of Death, but they will be changed to immortals in the twinkling of an eye.
